Topic: A Comprehensive Approach to Linux Security

Securing a Linux environment often takes a set of complementary technologies to achieve a comprehensive solution set.  This session will explore technologies that include SELinux, OpenSCAP, intrusion detection, as well as advanced auditing techniques.  The session will include a live demo that showcases how to implement these technologies in your environment.

Peter began his career performing financial, operational, and security audits in the insurance industry, and later managed data center operations for two Fortune 500 companies.  He has spent the last several years working in the public sector where he helps clients architect and implement technology solutions.  Peter has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from De Paul University.  He is also a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, and a Red Hat Certified Engineer.
