Preparing for your next steps toward a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) career requires continuous work starting now.  Thinking about your, interests, skills, values, and needs should be an ongoing process.  No one gets to the top without putting in the effort and doing this will give you a sense of direction and purpose, as well as, measurable progress toward your personal goals.  Even if your goal is not the CISO position, there are skills you should be improving that will help your everyday success.   In this presentation you will learn about the things you should be paying attentions to and how to systematically make progress toward achieving your goals and objectives. This will include making a self-assessment, discovering the gaps, making decisions, and taking action on both short-term goal and long-term goals.   Gain some insight from sources and techniques that can help you along the way.  The presentation will also provide insight into the thoughts of a CISO when planning or executing a security program.
